The Hyundai Kona Electric is a fully electric compact SUV, offering a practical and affordable entry into electric driving. Depending on the variant, the Kona Electric offers a range of up to 300 miles (WLTP), making it one of the longest-range electric SUVs in its class.
The Hyundai Kona Electric uses a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable and has a maximum onboard charging capacity of 7.2 kW (AC). This means the 1-Phase, 32A cable delivers the fastest AC charging speed — using a higher-rated 3-Phase cable won't charge any faster than the vehicle can accept, but does future-proof you if you upgrade to a vehicle with a faster onboard charger. The Kona Electric also supports DC rapid charging at up to 100 kW, allowing you to charge from 10 to 80% in around 47 minutes at a compatible rapid charger.
